Shrimp King Color

Shrimp King Color brings out the most beautiful colors in shrimp.

Many shrimp species, such as Crystal Red, Red Fire, Sakura, and Yellow Fire, have striking red, orange, or yellow body coloration. These colors are produced by carotenoids. Since shrimp cannot produce these pigments themselves, they need to absorb them through their food. If they are lacking, the colors gradually fade.

Shrimp King Color contains a particularly wide variety of natural carotenoid sources. These include hibiscus flowers, rose hips, sweet peppers, pumpkin, tomatoes, and pollen. These are supplemented by Haematococcus algae, which are rich in astaxanthin—a natural pigment that ensures intense shrimp colors. When fed regularly, the animals develop strong, bright colors and contrasting patterns.

The principle is similar to that of pink flamingos:
only when their food contains sufficient carotenoids does their plumage remain a vibrant pink. If these pigments are lacking, the color fades. This is precisely why a targeted supply is so important for shrimp.

Shrimp King Color is suitable for all colored Caridina and Neocaridina species. Yellow, orange, and red shrimp benefit greatly. Even blue and black species, such as Blue Pearl or tiger shrimp, develop more intense coloring thanks to the extra portion of carotenoids.

The sinking sticks are form-stable, easy to pick up, and have little impact on the water. This keeps the aquarium clean and the animals healthy.
