Plant System E15

As the size of the aquarium increases, the number and size of the plants also increases. For this reason, we have developed our Plant System, a system with highly concentrated components. The components Plant System V30 (complete fertilizer), Plant System S7 (vital substances) and Plant System E15 (iron fertilizer) are therefore designed to meet the needs of large aquariums. All macro and micro nutrients and trace elements are covered. Plant System E15 supplies all aquarium plants with immediately effective, bivalent iron and thus ensures fresh, magnificent green. Deficiency symptoms such as yellow, glassy leaves are largely cured, and young leaves grow a rich green again. Iron is of central importance for all aquarium plants. It is needed for the formation of the vital chlorophyll. Without chlorophyll, the plant cannot carry out photosynthesis. Iron deficiency is immediately apparent: the young leaves appear pale and yellowish (iron chlorosis). Important to know: plants can only absorb so-called bivalent iron. Unfortunately, this is not stable in the aquarium, but is quickly oxidized and thus converted into ineffective trivalent, "brown" iron. Tap water contains practically no iron. Aquarium plants therefore depend on regular iron fertilization. Special protective covers - so-called chelates - effectively protect the E15 iron and keep it available to plants in the aquarium for a long time (depot effect). E15 is phosphate and nitrate-free and therefore does not promote algae. Special note: Commercially available iron tests often cannot detect chelated iron. These tests then show lower results, although there is actually enough iron in the aquarium water.
