Setup your aquarium
1st
Substrate
To give your aquarium a more optically depth, distribute the substrate in an upward direction towards the back. To do this, pour your nutrient soil (Deponit Mix Black) into a corner or along the back wall. Then use the spatula to pull the nutrient soil forward. Then repeat this step with the gravel, making sure not to mix the nutrient soil and the gravel. If you want to use sand or other decorative gravel in the foreground, leave these areas out.
2nd
Equipment
After you have distributed the substrate, place the equipment in the aquarium. This way you can see how much space you still have for decoration
and plants.
3rd
Decoration
Now it's time to get creative: there are a variety of stones, roots and decorative elements that are suitable for aquariums, choose what you like. In this example we are using our Decor Box Bonsai. For a natural look we recommend an odd number of stones and other elements.

Planting
If you are happy with your setup, you can now start planting. Please note that bunched and potted plants must be watered in fresh water for 24 hours before planting to remove unwanted substances.
Grab a spray bottle of water and moisten the entire aquarium until it is well soaked. While planting, spray all areas in your aquarium so that the plants do not dry out. Now work from back to front and place the plant cuttings in the aquarium at a distance of 2-3 cm.
You can grow epiphytes and mosses on your roots and stones glue or bind.
5th
Fill your aquarium
Once you have distributed your plants and worked out the details, you can start your aquarium.
To avoid wasting all your work when filling the, put some kitchen paper on the bottom and moisten it. Now you can
pour the water onto the kitchen paper using a watering can. The water should be 20-25 °C. Clouding may occur, but this will disappear over the next few days.

You'e set up!
Now your aquarium will be the highlight of the room. Connect the filter and the heater. Use a timer for your lighting. In the
In the first few weeks, the lighting time should be reduced somewhat, as your aquarium is still unstable and too much light can quickly cause algae to develop. We recommend a lighting time of
about 8 hours.
You can read more about the lighting duration and how you should handle your aquarium in the first few weeks in the beginner's brochure or in our guide
