FAQs

The diffuser makes noise. Is there a solution to minimize the noise (chirping)?

The diffuser membranes are probably slightly dirty.

  • Unscrew the diffuser
  • Remove the membranes and separating rings
  • Clean the membranes between your fingers under running water
  • Reinsert the membranes and separating rings (disk-diaphragm-disk-diaphragm-disk)
  • Screw the diffuser back together, tighten only slightly “finger-tight”

This cleaning option is an advantage over diffusers with sintered glass or ceramic membranes.

It helps quickly and can be repeated very often before the membranes have to be replaced. In addition, the textile membranes are significantly more porous, offer a lower back pressure and are therefore perfect for combining with Bio CO2.
