Bio CO2 fertilization system for freshwater aquariums

The Carbo Bio Start 60/80 bio CO2 fertilization system supplies all freshwater aquariums up to 60/80 liters with vital CO2. It can be set up in just a few steps. CO2 production begins after just 24 to 48 hours. A pressure-resistant CO2 hose and a CO2 mini-topper specially designed for low operating pressure - or optionally, a CO2 injector for connection to a Dennerle Corner Filter 40 or 60 - ensure quick, effective dissolution of the valuable CO2 in the aquarium water.

FAQs

Is it possible to connect 2 Carbo Bio Depots 60/80 with a T-piece?

Yes, this is certainly possible. However, you should make sure that the connecting T-piece consists of one part. Multi-part connector systems are usually not leak-proof. However, both bottles must always be fitted with a bubble counter.

Does the bio CO2 bottle (Carbo Bio Start 60/80) with the gel and the capsule have to be glued at tank height or does the system also work if I place it in the base cabinet?

The storage tank must not be placed below the tank. The alcoholic fermentation cannot build up the pressure required to overcome the height difference. There is a risk of the hose bursting and an unintentional “water change” taking place.
Bio CO2 should always be placed next to the aquarium.
