New magazine "Aquarius", to inspire and motivate

Dennerle expands its publishing portfolio with new consumer magazine for aquatics

"Modern, informative und sexy," is how Chris Lukhaup describes the new magazine, "Aquarius", from the Dennerle publishing portfolio. The shrimp expert and industry insider has brought the new consumer magazine to life along with the Palatine company and predicts that the publication will have a successful start with a large readership. It is a magazine which is unparalleled in its layout and its conceptual approach.

"In terms of content, we place great emphasis on high-quality photographs, as well as entertaining and at the same time informative reads," explains Lukhaup. Most important of all is to inspire and motivate the reader to "have lots of fun absorbing themselves in the best hobby in the world - aquatics". The content is made up of short interviews with international experts, expedition reports in the most extraordinary, beautiful, natural habitats, ornamental fish and shrimp portraits, as well as useful facts about Nano aquatics, saltwater and aquascaping.

The magazine, the first issue of which celebrated its premiere at Interzoo 2014, is available in two country-specific versions - German and English - and is to be published every three months in future. "We are distributing the first magazine to readers free of charge," says Dennerle Managing Director, Peter Koch. The subsequent issues are to be available for the low price of EUR 2.95.

Dennerle's decision to expand its publishing line with a significant product in "Aquarius", is rooted in the concept of the person who inspired it. "What Chris Lukhaup describes as modern, informative and sexy, is consistent with our ideas for a magazine worth reading," explains Koch. Having said that, he does not see "Aquarius" as competition for other aquatics magazines. The magazine is more a welcome addition, which is clearly conceptually different from the existing range and is intended to reach new readers.
